Ryan Chhajed

I am a yoga and mindfulness teacher but, first and foremost, a devoted mindfulness practitioner and a father. I am learning, discovering, and deepening my understanding every day. I have lived experience with mental health and young male suicide. As such I found mindfulness through my own experiences, studies, and practice. What initially began as a stress management exercise has now become the mainstay of my daily life. Over the years I have cultivated my own personal practice by establishing a daily mindfulness practice and participating in mindfulness trainings.

Mindfulness has helped me enormously in simplifying my life and creating a quality of calm along with a dynamic and alert state of mind. My passion for teaching mindfulness stems from my firm belief that mindfulness is a power that lies within us and is accessible immediately. It can be incredibly beneficial to our overall well-being once we know how to tap into it.

I have worked for over 20 years in a variety of corporate roles in Finance, Sales and Strategy across the health care, sustainability and FMCG industries. My corporate experience combined with my own practice and training enable me to skillfully relate the concepts and practices to a wide range of people.

I have completed my 350 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with the Australian Yoga Academy and Peaceful Kids Facilitator Training (mindfulness for kids) with Wellbeing for Kids. I have also completed my Certificate IV in Mental Health as well as Meditation Teacher Training from the Zama Institute.
